Part of Jalan Paya Terubong to close for two days for construction works

GEORGE TOWN: There will be a temporary road closure in the night hours around Jalan Paya Terubong from Wednesday (July 8) at the junction of bypass heading towards Relau (the first traffic light to Bukit Jambul) for construction works.

In a statement, the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) said the road closure would take effect on Wednesday (July 8) and Thursday (July 9) from 10pm to 5am.

A part of Jalan Paya Terubong, from the Jalan Tun Sardon and Jalan Paya Terubong junction, up to the junction between Lebuh Bukit Jambul and Jalan Paya Terubong will be closed temporarily.

This is for the installation of the form traveller system for the construction of a segmented box girder at the Tun Sardon Link.

“The public is advised to take note of the road closure.

“For further details, call 04-259 2327/ 2202/ 2205, ” the council said.
