KOTA KINABALU: The state government has brought an end to a 12-year-long land dispute between some 2,000 oil palm smallholders in Lahad Datu and Borneo Samudera Sdn Bhd (BSSB), a subsidiary of state-owned Sawit Kinabalu.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said that Sawit Kinabalu would return 6,800ha of land and compensated with 18,000 of land elsewhere.
