PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices are set to drop across the board from July 4 to 10.
The Finance Ministry in a statement on Friday (July 3), said the price of RON97 will be priced at RM1.95 per litre, down four sen from RM1.99 per litre previously.
The price of RON95 will be reduced by four sen from RM1.69 per litre to RM1.65 per litre.
The price of diesel, meanwhile, will decrease by two sen from RM1.86 per litre to RM1.84 per litre.
"The decline in the retail price of petroleum products is due to changes in refined product prices, in line with current crude oil prices.
"The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price change and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the people," it said.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5 last year under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
