KUCHING: Sarawak reported no new Covid-19 cases for the fifth consecutive day on Friday (July 3).
The state disaster management committee said the tally of confirmed cases in the state remained at 571.
One patient was discharged from the Sarawak General Hospital here, bringing the number of recoveries to 545 or 95.45% of the total cases to date, it said.
"Nine people are still receiving treatment in isolation wards.
"In addition, 22 new persons-under-investigation have been reported and two cases are awaiting lab results," the committee said in a statement.
Three districts in the state are still categorised as yellow zones, with one case each reported in Kuching and Sibu in the last 14 days and three cases in Bintulu.
Sarawak classifies yellow zones as areas with one or more positive cases in the last 14 days.
The committee also said 1,869 premises statewide were inspected on Friday for compliance with the recovery movement control order (MCO) regulations.
In addition, 1,203 vehicles were checked at six roadblocks in Lundu, Bau, Serian, Sri Aman and Lubok Antu under Ops Benteng to prevent undocumented immigrants from entering the country.
