KOTA KINABALU: Plantation owners in east Malaysian states should consider creating wildlife corridors on their land as a long-term solution to avoid conflicts between humans and animals – elephants in particular.
Amid growing incidents of human-elephant conflicts recently, WWF Malaysia conservation director Dr Henry Chan said it was now very important to co-exist with Bornean pygmy elephants, which are the only large mammal species still roaming in Sabah.
