Body of murdered woman found in Bidor plantation

IPOH: Tapah police have found the body of a woman in an oil palm plantation in Bidor.

Tapah OCPD Supt Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said the body was recovered on Monday (June 29).

"The body was found in an oil palm plantation near Jalan Sungkai in Bidor at 1.45pm.

"Upon investigating, we believe that the victim is female. However there was no identification found with her," he said on Tuesday (June 30).

He said police are now looking for family members or the victim's acquaintances.

"It is believed that the victim is a female with a plump figure aged between 40 and 50.

"Her height is estimated at five feet three inches and she was wearing a black and red flower design T-shirt and a yellowish batik sarong," he said.

The case is being investigated under section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
