ANTI-Ageing Yoga & Wellness Malaysia and Malaysian Yoga Society co-hosted a record setting 12-hour marathon yoga event online, Makkal Osai reported.
The event was organised in conjunction with International Yoga Day on June 21 and featured local yoga teachers conducting classes which were streamed online for participants.
There were also talks and seminars by international yoga instructors from India and Nepal about the benefits of yoga and its current developments.
Sutra Foundation chairman Datuk Ramli Ibrahim and Batu MP P. Prabakaran also attended the opening ceremony of the event.
> The daily also reported that the Rajasthan state government in India has issued a warning against the sale of a herbal concoction being touted as a cure for Covid-19.
An ayurvedic supplier has been selling the concoction, claiming that it could cure the disease based on the company’s own unapproved trials at a private institute.
The ayurvedic offering gained popularity after it was promoted by a self-proclaimed Hindu sage and yoga teacher.
Rajasthan health minister Raghu Sharma issued a statement saying the company did not have permission to conduct the so-called trials or to sell concoction.
