18 cops and army personnel nabbed for being in cahoots with human trafficking syndicates


JOHOR BARU: Police scored a major coup in their fight against human smuggling syndicates with the arrest of 18 enforcement personnel, including one with the rank of Assistant Superintendant.

Johor police chief Comm Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said following the arrest of 40 members of a human smuggling syndicate on June 4, police launched another operation between June 15 and June 18.
