Lorry driver crushed by load of timber he was unloading


KAJANG: A lorry driver here died after he was crushed by timber that he had been transporting.

The victim died after his load of timber fell on top of him as he was untying it at about 8am Wednesday (June 17) at Foo Sin Timber Sdn Bhd's factory in Jalan Baru Broga, Semenyih.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the victim died on the spot due to severe head injury.

"The victim was the company's lorry driver. He had transported the timber from Pahang at 2pm Tuesday (June 16) and arrived at the factory at 8am on Wednesday.

"The victim's body has been sent to Kajang Hospital for post mortem," he said when contacted.
