Lawyer in Risda land deal case claims trial


KOTA KINABALU: A lawyer sought after for three years over charges involving almost RM20mil in a Risda land deal was given a RM1mil bail and his passport impounded.

Michael Persius Ubu pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court judge Abu Bakar Manat yesterday to two money laundering charges amounting to more than RM3.9mil and a criminal breach of trust involving some RM15.5mil from Risda land deals.
