KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah has denied social media claims that it has severed ties with Pakatan Harapan.

Party secretary general Datuk Loretto Padua said that the claim made on a masthead on a national Malay newspaper was the work of irresponsible people, who wanted to create a wedge between Pakatan Harapan and Warisan.

He said that Warisan was not a member of Pakatan, but has been friendly with Pakatan since before the 2018 general election.

"The message in social media, claiming that Warisan has severed ties with Pakatan, is false.

"This is the work of people who are jealous of the working relationship between Warisan and Pakatan," he said, urging people not to believe the "news report".

He said that such untrue claims are aimed at breaking the partnership.

For the record, Padua said that since the 14th general election, Warisan has remained consistent in working with the national coalition party.
