PETALING JAYA: A Star Media Group senior security guard, Rosli Jamaluddin (pic), has died from colon cancer.

He was 60.

Rosli, who served the company for 13 years, passed away at 9.05am yesterday at Hospital Shah Alam where he was admitted since May 18.

He left behind a wife and three children.

According to Rosli’s daughter Adlina Hazwani, her father was admitted to the hospital after he was suspected to have a blockage in his gallbladder.

“When a CT scan was performed, doctors found a cancerous tumour around his duodenum. They could not perform an operation on him as the tumour was located at an unusual spot,” she said.

She said her father was given medication, drips and painkillers where he was warded.

Rosli was buried at Section 21 Shah Alam Muslim cemetery before the Zohor prayer.
