PETALING JAYA: Police are searching for a 42-year-old man in connection with a burglary in Taman SEA that occurred on Monday (June 8) night.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said police are on the hunt for Ong Chong En, aka "Spiky", who is believed to have been in cahoots with another man who is already in custody.

"The arrested man, 39, is believed to have broken into a house and stolen a car around 10pm on June 8 and we arrested him the next day," he said.

ACP Nik Ezanee said the man fled with the stolen car and drove past a roadblock in Shah Alam around 1am on Tuesday (June 9) before being arrested at a parking lot in Bukit Prima Pelangi in Kuala Lumpur at 2pm.

They recovered the stolen car and a second vehicle, a luxury car which was reported stolen in Kepong, as well as few luxury items including handbags, watches and mobile phones.

"The suspect has a criminal record including several counts of robbery and burglary," he said, adding the duo is believed to have been operating for about three months.
