Retrenchment of 22 fair, rules Industrial Court

PETALING JAYA: The Industrial Court has ruled that the retrenchment of 22 former employees of a government-linked company on grounds of redundancy to be fair and done with just cause.

In her decision, Industrial Court chairman Noor Ruwena Mohd Nurdin said that Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd (SSER), wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Inc (MOF Inc) – had proven that the retrenchment of all 22 workers was with a valid reason.
