MELAKA: Some 600 monkeys have been caught since January following public complaints about them terrorising neighbourhoods here, said state agriculture, agro-based industries, entrepreneur development and cooperative committee chairman Datuk Norhizam Hassan Baktee (pic).
These macaques had been causing fear among the locals, he said, citing how the monkeys waylaid the people along roads leading to housing estates and villages.
