15 teens held for reckless riding in Kampung Tunku

PETALING JAYA: A total of 15 teenagers were detained for riding their motorcycles recklessly in Kampung Tunku here.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the teenagers, aged between 16 and 18, had allegedly ridden their motorcycles dangerously at Kampung Tunku and disrupted public order at about 6.45pm on Sunday (May 31).

"We inspected their motorcycles and we issued 27 summonses for various traffic violations.

"Their parents were also called up to the police station for further action," he said when contacted.

The teenagers tested negative for drugs, he added.

"We will continue to take action against anyone for traffic violations in the area," ACP Nik Ezanee said.
