PETALING JAYA: SPM school leavers can check UPUOnline results for entrance into public higher learning institutions from 12pm on June 3, says the Higher Education Ministry.
Applicants to public universities, Teachers' Training Institutes (IPG), matriculation colleges, polytechnics, community colleges and Public Skills Training Institutes (ILKA) can check their results through UPUPocket 2.0.
The results - which are for entrance into foundation, certificate, diploma and bachelor's degree studies - can also be checked at http://jpt.umt.edu.my; http://jpt.ums.edu.my; https://jpt.unimas.my; https://jpt.utm.my; and http://jpt.uum.edu.my.
As many as 205,972 applications by SPM school leavers to pursue higher education at public institutions were received, said the Ministry in a statement on Saturday (May 30).
"The Ministry wishes to take the opportunity to congratulate all applicants who succeeded in getting offers.
"Offer letters will be issued by the respective institutions and successful candidates are urged to accept the offer within the stipulated period.
"Offers are final and any applications for changes are not allowed," said the Ministry.
The registration date of new students for the 17 public universities, IPGs, matriculation colleges, polytechnics, community colleges and ILKA has also been published on the Ministry's official Facebook page.
Applicants who failed to secure any offers to the public higher learning institutions can submit their appeals via UPUOnline Rayuan at http://upu.moe.gov.my within five working days starting June 3 until June 10, from 12pm to 5pm.
"For premier or conventional polytechnics, METRO, community colleges and ILKA, appeals can be made straight with the respective agencies.
"Approval of appeals will be made based on the vacancies at the respective public higher learning institutions, after the intake of new students," said the Ministry.
The Higher Education Department will also be opening a hotline starting June 3 until June 10 from 8.30am to 4pm to aid applicants in checking their results and get consultation services.
