PETALING JAYA: Visitors to court complexes around the country will be asked to scan a QR code to register themselves from June 1 onwards.
The Office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia said that the Court Visitor Tracking System would be implemented on June 1 to record visitors to courts around Malaysia as a contact-tracing measure during the Covid-19 outbreak.
"This system is an alternative to the present registration system, where visitors' details are recorded on a form.
"Using the new system, visitors will be asked to scan a QR code that will be placed on posters or banners at the entrance of the courts before going inside," it said in a statement on Friday (May 29).
The new system will increase the efficiency of the registration process at courts around the country, it added.
