PETALING JAYA: Malaysia reported 172 more Covid-19 cases on Monday (May 25), bringing the country’s total infections to 7,417.
This is the first time in three weeks that the number of reported cases have gone into three digits, with the bulk of them detected at three Immigration detention centres.
Of the 172 new cases, five were imported cases while 167 were local transmissions and of the local transmissions, 159 were detected among foreigners, with 112 cases at three Immigration detention centres.
