King’s speech ‘clear evidence’ of legitimacy

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s speech at the Dewan Rakyat is “clear evidence” of the legitimacy of the Perikatan Nasional government, say political leaders from Perikatan and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

In a joint statement, these leaders said the royal address on Monday was a shot in the arm for the government, which was formed in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Constitution, to continue serving the people.

“The most important thing for the government is to carry out the trust to ensure the well-being of the people, ” it said.
