KUALA LUMPUR: The police have smashed an online gambling syndicate which is believed to have been enticing gamblers for about a year.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said the syndicate was brought down when a team from the anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division (D7) arrested nine people in a raid on Tuesday (May 19) at an office in Mont Kiara at around 12.30pm.
