Michael Chong: Give full support to frontliners, help by donating PPE

KUALA LUMPUR: Full support should be given to frontliners, including in the form of donating personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks and hand sanitisers, says Datuk Seri Michael Chong.

The MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head urged the people to donate such items, especially to the Immigration department, whose officers have been at the frontline since the beginning.

"Immigration officers have been in the forefront in the war against the Covid-19 virus, be it at border checkpoints or during enforcement operations.

"I hope the rakyat will give their support to Immigration officers and donate essential items to them," he said after presenting face masks and sanitisers to Kuala Lumpur Immigration department chief Hamidi Adam on Friday (May 15).

Chong, who was accompanied by his friend Dr P. Ravee, handed over a total of 1,000 face masks and 200 face shields to the department.

Those who wished to donate PPEs to the department can contact KL Immigration Strategic Planning and Corporate Services chief Siti Aspanisya Zimi at 03-62057422, or email aspanisya@imi.gov.my.
