PETALING JAYA: The government has been urged to revoke restrictions on media access for the coming Parliament meeting on May 18.
Leading the call, the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) expressed disappointment over what it termed as “unfair and irrational” restrictions and asked that all media agencies be allowed to cover the meeting.NUJ secretary Chin Sung Chew said although the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic must be taken heed of, “there should not be double standards imposed”.
