KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will implement the conditional movement control order (CMCO), said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal. The CMCO would be carried out in stages and according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the Health Ministry, he said.

The sectors that can fully operate are agriculture and food, factories and manufacturing, as well as logistics on land, jetties and ports.

Businesses linked to supporting sectors are also allowed to operate.

Shafie said oil palm plantations and oil mills in Lahad Datu, Kunak and Kinabatangan could resume operations but only with approval from the Health Department.

“The state government’s priority for the welfare of the people are maintained at all times, ” he said.

The Sabah Covid-19 command centre would give details on industries allowed to operate.
