IGP: Mass operations being carried out to weed out illegal immigrants


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Authorities are conducting large-scale joint operations to weed out illegal immigrants during the enforcement of the Movement Control Order as part of efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.

Inspector-general of police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador (pic) said the operations, involving the police, the Immigration Department, Armed Forces and the Ministry of Health, were to ensure that no undocumented immigrants sneaked out from identified areas and spread the disease somewhere else.
