KEPALA BATAS: A civil servant loss RM12,614 to a scammer who called her over the phone, claiming to be a police officer and accusing her of criminal activities.
According to North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor, the 35-year-old victim received a call from a man who introduced himself as "Sarjan Razlan" from the Penang police contingent headquarters.
