KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Syariah Lawyers Association (PGSM) is urging the government to allow Syariah courts to operate throughout the movement control order (MCO) following complaints it says it has received regarding marital problems.
PGSM president Musa Awang said the complaints included divorce pronunciation (talak) during the MCO period, adding that the talak could not be verified by the Syariah Court as it was not operational.
