Negri probing the dumping of used engine oil into river

SEREMBAN: The authorities here are probing the dumping of what is believed to be used vehicle engine oil into Sg Anak Air Garam, says Negri Sembilan environment, health, cooperatives and consumerism committee chairman S. Veerapan.

He said preliminary findings by the Department of Environment (DOE) revealed that the level of contamination in the river which flows into Sg Linggi, the main raw water source for consumers here and in Port Dickson, was low.
