PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian couple has become the first to tie the knot through a solemnisation ceremony performed via video conferencing during the movement control order (MCO).

A two-minute, 17-second video clip of the solemnisation ceremony of Muhammad Don Haadi Don Putra and Nahdatul Aishah Mohd Sharif, both 29, was uploaded on the Facebook page of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Islamic Affairs Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri.
