FILM Directors’ Association of Malaysia (FDAM) will boycott producers who continue filming during the movement control order (MCO), reported Berita Harian.

Its president Ahmad Ibrahim said any film director found to have violated the MCO would be blacklisted by the association.

“FDAM will also urge the National Film Development Corporation (Finas) to revoke their filming licence, including not issuing them with Finas’ certificate of filming, ” he said.

Ahmad said he was upset with the statement of several producers asking the government to give leeway to continue filming during the MCO period.

> Four people, including a woman, were held for playing poker at Taman Chai Leng in Butterworth, Penang, on Saturday, reported Metro Ahad.

Central Seberang Prai acting OCPD Supt Mohd Mustafa Bidin said the suspects, aged between 30 and 60, were preoccupied with the game when the police approached them.

He said some tables and chairs, gambling apparatus and chips were also seized.

Police also nabbed 30 others for gathering, drinking and obstructing public servants from discharging their duties during the MCO, said Supt Mohd Mustafa.

“So far, 198 individuals have been arrested for defying the MCO, with 11 of them fined RM1,000 and some jailed for two weeks, ” he added.

> The daily also reported that singer Aiman Tino is distancing himself from his newborn sister, who was born on Thursday, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Aiman, 22, said he was thrilled to welcome the new addition to the family, their 11th sibling.

He said he was very careful and would only go near her after a shower.

Aiman has nine other siblings, aged between four and 25.
