KUALA LUMPUR: An ambulance driver who was rushing a patient to a hospital lost control of the vehicle and crashed on Sunday (April 15).
Fortunately, no one was injured and another ambulance arrived 15 minutes later to take the patient to the hospital.
Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya said that the accident occurred along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway at 11.45am on Sunday.
"The ambulance driver was rushing a patient who had suffered a stroke to the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) when he lost control of the vehicle near Jalan Bukit Jalil as he was entering the highway.
"The vehicle skidded, spun around and the back right tyre came off. There were no injuries suffered by the (passengers) a patient, a family member and two medical officers," he said.
