KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 556 face mask scams resulting in RM4.2mil losses have been recorded so far with the swindlers usually lifting images of the product from other companies to mislead buyers.
“Some syndicates even gave fake tracking numbers to fool the buyers into thinking that the package was being sent to them,” said Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Zakaria Ahmad.
