PETALING JAYA: Malaysians are urged to take part in a 30-minute symbolic gesture this Friday to thank the frontliners in the fight against Covid-19.
From 9pm to 9.30pm, Malaysians can just stand on their balconies, porch or even within their house compounds while waving their flashlights and cheering the frontliners on.
They are also encouraged to take pictures and videos of themselves and post them on social media platforms, with the hashtag #TQFrontliners.
This was announced on the Instagram page of actor and National Film Development Corporation chairman Datuk Hans Isaac yesterday.
“While all of Malaysia is staying at home, a large group of national heroes are working nonstop to ensure our safety.
“The frontliners are the light of this country.
“As a sign of appreciation, let’s show the spirit of kinship for these fighters while we are at home,” wrote Hans in the Instagram post.
