Royal advice: Sultan Sharafuddin wants everyone to obey the movement control order.

KLANG: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah wants individuals who had attended the tabligh event in Sri Petaling recently to come forward to be tested.

An entry in the Selangor Royal Office Facebook Timeline said Sultan Sharafuddin was worried that in the event the spread of Covid-19 continues and cases increase, it would result in the Federal Government’s movement control order (MCO) being extended.

He said this would further affect the daily activities of the people and adversely impact the earnings of vendors and small-scale business owners.

The Ruler also voiced his concern that there were still stubborn people who did not adhere to the MCO.

Sultan Sharafuddin advised the people to observe the MCO so that the chain of Covid-19 infections could be broken.

He went on to say that stubbornness and self-centredness during a critical situation would only cause problems to many, especially the frontliners.

Sultan Sharafuddin stressed the need for everyone to stay at home and for those who had symptoms of Covid-19 to step forward to undergo testing and subsequent isolation.

The Ruler had an audience with Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari earlier in the day at Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam.

Amirudin briefed Sultan Sharafuddin on the current Covid-19 situation in Selangor as well as the latest developments of the state’s Covid-19 task force council.
