Cops nab suspected snatch thief who robbed nurse in Rawang

GOMBAK: Police have arrested a suspected snatch thief who allegedly robbed a nurse in Bandar Baru Rawang.

"Based on public information, a combined team from both the Rawang police station and IPD Gombak's Criminal Investigation Department successfully traced down and arrested the suspect on Wednesday (March 25).

"The 20-year-old Myanmarese suspect was arrested at 2pm in the Rawang area. The items that were stolen were also found. He will be remanded for further investigations," said Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe when contacted Wednesday.

The nurse was robbed on March 23 at around 7.50pm as she was opening the gate to her house.

Her handbag, containing several documents and MyKad, were stolen.
