KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) will make sure all its customers enjoy uninterrupted power supply throughout the movement control order (MCO) period unless the situation forces it to temporarily shut down supply.
SESB acting managing director Datuk Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid said while many were at home observing the MCO, more than 500 of his personnel were on the ground 24 hours daily making sure that power supply ran smoothly.
“During this time, the demand for stable power supply is higher and even more critical, ” he said.
He also said SESB had cut down on scheduled power cuts and would only do so for cases of emergencies for repair works.
“All our staff are working on a rotational basis, ” he added.
Consumers are advised to contact SESB immediately if they face power cuts by calling 15454 or 088-515 000 or file their complaints by texting 019-852 5427 via WhatsApp.
“Electricity bill payments can still be made at payment kiosks, online and registered e-wallet agents, ” Abdul Nasser said.
