KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Bar is calling on government agencies, including the Inland Revenue Board, Customs Department and Land Office, to exercise fairness in dealing with applications or requests by lawyers for time extensions on payments owed during the movement control order (MCO).
Its president Salim Bashir said the agencies must be aware of the problems faced by lawyers during this time as they try to fulfil their legal and administrative obligations on behalf of their firms and clients despite not being able to go to their offices.
