KOTA TINGGI: A 35-year-old fisherman used a biscuit tin to stay afloat at sea for almost 15 hours after he fell from a fishing trawler on Sunday (March 22) off Tanjung Sedili here before he was found by another fisherman at 8am on Monday(March 23).

The fisherman then informed the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).

Johor Maritime director First Admiral (Maritime) Aminuddin Abdul Rashid said that Ayub Musa was found about three nautical miles east of Sedili Besar.

He added that the other fishermen on the trawler did not notice their missing friend when he fell into the sea at 5pm.
