Miti and agencies to operate remote services

PETALING JAYA: The Ministry of International Trade & Industry (Miti) and its agencies will operate remotely during the 14-day enforcement of the movement control order from March 18-31.

However, essential services such as the endorsement of Certificates of Origin will still be delivered through conventional means, Miti said in a statement March 18.

These services will be done physically at Menara Miti from 9am to 1pm daily on weekdays.

All other services such as the applications for an Approved Permit (AP), Strategic Trade Act (STA) permit, grants, loans, and other relevant facilities will be done digitally.

The Malaysian business community and industry players are encouraged to reach out to the ministry and its agencies through the MITI & Agencies Hotline Facebook page, via WhatsApp at +6012-6072750 or email

“Miti remains committed to facilitating our industry players in mitigating the challenges that may arise during this restricted movement period, ” it said.
