Woman denies being Najib’s wife

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman has gone to the police claiming she did not marry former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The woman, in her 50s, lodged a report after pictures of her alleging that she was the “young wife” of Najib went viral on social media,

Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Rajab Ahad Ismail confirmed that police had received a report, adding that they would refer the case to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

“We have received a report and opened an investigation on the matter. The MCMC has also been notified, ” he said.

In the report sighted by The Star, the woman denied being married to Najib. The woman said she lodged a report for fear of her safety.

She urged the police to take action against the Facebook user.
