PUTRAJAYA: The pathology results on the urine samples belonging to Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah and several others were found to be negative.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Crimes Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Ramli Din said the results were negative after the thorough examination was conducted.
Police had previously said that except for one suspect, 16 others who were picked up in a raid at a private party in Puchong tested positive for drugs.
“There are those from the same group arrested (last month) who tested positive, ” he said.
“However, the Attorney General’s Chambers has decided not to prosecute them and all the cases have been classified as ‘No Further Action’, ” he added.
It was reported that Adhif and several members of two political parties were among 17 people held in the early morning raid.
Following the initial urine results, police carried further pathology examination to reconfirm the results.
At a press conference in January, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador told the media they were waiting for the second set of tests to determine the case.
Abdul Hamid, who declined to confirm whether an assemblyman and political party members were among those detained, said Brickfields police went to the condominium after residents complained of loud noises at about 4.40am on Jan 12.
Police found the group partying, he said, and seized several items during the search.
