ISKANDAR PUTERI (Bernama): The Johor state legislative assembly sitting scheduled for March 5 has been postponed to another date to be fixed later.
Speaker Suhaizan Kaiat (pic) said he made the decision to postpone the one-day sitting according to Regulation 7(3) of the Standing Orders of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Johor.
"It is also done after taking into account the country's current political situation," he told reporters at his office here on Thursday (Feb 27).
When asked when the sitting would be held, he said it would be in May at the latest.
Of the total 56 state seats in the state legislative assembly, DAP and Umno have 14 seats each, followed by Bersatu (11), Amanah (nine), PKR (five), MIC (two) and PAS (one). – Bernama
