PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (pic) has dismissed talk that he will quit Umno with the aim of joining a new coalition government.

“I strongly deny any claim that I am leaving the party. Please do not believe any speculation spread by certain parties.

“My stand has been consistent since before. I reiterate my undivided loyalty. I will always remain with Umno and Barisan Nasional, ” he wrote on Facebook yesterday.

Talk on social media is rife that Hishammuddin is allegedly working with sacked PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali to form a new coalition.

Hishammuddin, who is the Sembrong MP, previously said that he was prepared to face the Umno disciplinary board over such accusations.

On Tuesday, he was among 90 MPs who met the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to inform the King of their stand on the current political impasse.
