Man caught for vandalising temple

A man who broke a Muneesvarar deity statue with a hammer at the Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple in Negri Sembilan has been arrested, reported Makkal Osai.

The man, who has been identified as an Indian national from Kerala, was arrested the same day, said Nilai police chief Supt Nor Marzukee Besar.

His motive for damaging the statue was not immediately known, he said, adding that the man was remanded for further investigation.
