Refugees can contribute to host country, says UNHCR rep

KUALA LUMPUR: The UNHCR Representative for Malaysia, Thomas Albrecht, is hopeful that the government will recognise the potential contributions of refugees by allowing them the legal right to work according to the Pakatan Harapan manifesto.

“(The government) is very careful and is making ongoing comprehensive reviews, and it will take a little bit of time as these are very complex issues.
