KUALA LUMPUR: A total of RM1.23mil worth of drugs were seized after police busted two different syndicates in the city, says Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim.
The Kuala Lumpur police chief said in the first case, the Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) detained two men aged 22 and 23, who were in a Toyota Vios on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban highway on Monday.
“Checks on the vehicle revealed 56g of syabu.
“Further investigations led police to a condominium in Cheras, where police checked two other vehicles. We seized 14,800 Eramine 5 pills and 6.68kg of syabu, ” he said at the state police headquarters yesterday.
In the second case, the KL NCID arrested two men on Monday and Tuesday.
“The first man was detained at a house in Jalan Kepong and we seized Eramine 5 pills and 19.2g of ketamine.
“We also arrested his accomplice on Tuesday. A total of 1,330 Eramine 5 pills, 289 ecstasy pills, 6.98kg ecstasy powder and 101 ganja plants were seized, ” he said.
