Lynas continues to work with its partners in Malaysia to attract downstream Rare Earths industries to serve Malaysia’s growing Industry 4.0 markets. This was evident at the International Rare Earths conference held in Kuala Lumpur for the first time in November 2019, which attracted participants from over 20 countries.

Lynas Malaysia demonstrates this commitment to safety and shared prosperity through:

- Lynas Malaysia’s strong safety performance, with 461 days lost time injury-free achieved in August 2019.

- The ‘Golden Rule’ employee safety training programme, which has been embraced by employees and contractors.

- No public health or environmental incidents in eight years of operation.

- No increase in background radiation at 1 km, 5 km, 10km and 20km from the plant.

- The 2018 Executive Review Committee’s findings that Lynas Malaysia’s operations are compliant with relevant regulation and that the company voluntarily adopts international best practice.
