GEORGE TOWN: Some 1,300 policemen will be deployed in the city to ensure a smooth double celebration of Thaipusam and Chap Goh Meh on Saturday.
About two million visitors are expected to throng the streets this weekend and some major roads will be closed to traffic to make way for the two celebrations.
