Melaka rep objects to reintroduction of English for Maths, Science in school

MELAKA: A Melaka assemblyman objects to the move to reintroduce teaching of Science and Mathematics in English (PPSMI), saying that teachers lack competencies in the international language.

Instead, Melaka Public Works, Transportation and Public Utilities Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Sofi Abdul Wahab suggests that English should be made a compulsory subject in schools, and not only for the two subjects if PPSMI is reintroduced.
