GEORGE TOWN: The novel coronavirus scare has made many Malaysians planning trips and holidays to China or neighbouring countries to give them them a miss.

Secretary Umira Aishah Abu Bakar, 47, planned and booked a family trip to Beijing in October last year but the travel agent has cancelled her trip due to flight restrictions and dangers of contracting the coronavirus.
